Formal health-sharing models in the United States have been in existence since 1981. And Aprukuma Health Share looks forward to officially launching as a healthcare-sharing program that exclusively welcomes health Black people to share each other's eligible medical expenses and encourage one another to embrace mental, physical, spiritual, and emotional optimal health. Members can access naturopathic doctors, dentists, optometrists, chiropractors, therapists, herbalists, nutritionists, midwives, doulas, and more. They will also have access to an extensive online herb and ailment directory that compares the compilation of herbal remedies to pharmaceuticals, in addition to access to premier telehealth services by phone, text, and video chat with participating providers.
Aprukuma Health Share will provide options for every budget that generally save members around 50%. Members will never contribute to medical procedures undermining their Ancestral cultural values. The Affordable Care Act includes a special provision for members of Healthcare Sharing Programs. Thus Aprukuma Health Share members will be exempt from the mandate to purchase insurance. Instead, members will pay a monthly share to satisfy other members' eligible medical expenses. Suppose a member has a qualified medical expense, and their annual commitment has been met. In that case, funds will be directed via member-to-member sharing until the eligible medical expense has been paid.
All “eligible medical expenses” will be listed in our Member Guidelines. Aprukuma Health Share will also provide the option to connect with other members, whether for prayer, encouragement, or group health and wellness activities. Whether you are traditionally employed, self-employed, or a business owner seeking to supplement your employee benefits offerings, one of the best ways to know if Aprukuma Health Share is a viable option is by calculating the average amount spent on medical costs each month over the past year. Then compare this amount to the quoted monthly member cost.
Members will receive one free Ancestral DNA test that reveals the specifics of their Ancestral lineage, and includes a haplo group migration map of their test results that features comprehensive list of native foods their Ancestors & Ancestresses likely consumed in the highlighted territories and in turn may prove highly beneficial to their goals of sustaining optimal health.
Aprukuma Health Share is in preliminary beta stage in preparation for filing the required state and federal paperwork to begin exclusively offering our services to Black people throughout the United States. Please email queensakomufo@gmail.com if you or someone you know is interested.
